Titans was a fun surprise for the first show of the DC Universe streaming service, and being provided to Netflix. With season two having been confirmed and looking likely for a release in 2020, here are some of the improvements, characters and moments we should see in season two of Titans.
Characters
Whilst we will be getting the original team from season one, the Teen Titans in the comics has had such a wide variety of characters included and there are so many more characters we could see introduced in the second season of the show. The end credit scene of the first season of Titans showed us that there will be the appearance of Super-boy and Krypto, which will be a great addition to the show. It would also be great to see Jason Todd, Wonder Girl and Batman make a reappearance. It would also be great to see the appearance of other characters such as Kid Flash, Cyborg, Speedy or maybe even Blue Beetle. It will be interesting to see Trigon make an appearance in his true form, but I would like to see some other villains thrown into the mix, such as Deathstroke, Mad Mod or even HIVE.
Character Changes/Improvements
There are some elements I would change if given the chance, to some of the characters or settings. Firstly, I would make sure that Beast Boy would be able to change into his full array of different animals, and not just a tiger, as I found that quite annoying. It would be great to see a range of different animals used in combat in different ways, and still being able to talk whilst in his animal form would make for some fun dialogue. We have seen something similar in Pogo from Umbrella Academy recently, so it is not impossible. It would also be great to see Starfire get to grips with her past, figure out her heritage and gain full control of her abilities, flight, blasts etc. as it would make the character more dangerous. It would also be great to see a proper costume for Raven, and we will most likely see the diamond on her head when she defeats Trigon and traps him inside there, but if we see a cloak like we see in the animated series, that would be a great addition.
Moments I Want To See
There are many moments I would love to see in the second season of Titans. I would love to see Dick and Batman see each other again and reunite, especially after Dick’s dream sequence version of Batman. It would be great to see the Joker take Jason too, and so we would see the Joker ‘kill’ Jason and then later get to see Red Hood. I would love to see characters like Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash etc turn up, even if for a few minutes. Especially, it would be great to see Superboy meet Superman, and take him on as a mentor role. I would also love to see Robin make the transition into Nightwing, and we would see a change in the way the character acts, and a maturity of him.
